A dynamite blast at an off well cellar near Kellerville, Wheeler County, killed G A Clark 34 and injured Ollie McPherson and J A Reed. He and Cadet Cy Wilson were flying to join six fliers to Shreveport when an oil line allegedly broke and coated the hot engine causing smoke. The plane crashed and was demolished but did not burn.

Campbell Jones of Abilene Texas recounted how a band of about 20 Mexican bandits halted and robbed seven tourist cars near Taxco Guerra. Among the victims was Senator Reynolds of North Carolina.
