Escaped inmates include D A Davenport ex convict wanted in Coleman Texas for jail breaking and burglary Ellis Collins Sedalia life murder John Seifkas grand larceny Charles Burrel Fred Calvin and Charles Handley all held on theft charges The escape occurred when a visiting woman relative asked to open a corridor door to deliver a package to Davenport and the prisoners seized the chance and fled taking four or five clothes from Lee French a short distance away
