Occupants of Car That Killed Man Still Unknown
The three or four alleged occupants of the car that struck T. A. Owens 35 year old farmer of Lamesa and caused his death at a local hospital on Wednesday night remain unidentified. Owens was struck on the Amarillo Panhandle highway while pouring gasoline into his car about 4 PM Tuesday. He was semi conscious at the hospital and told his wife before dying. His wife, summoned from Lamesa, arrived Wednesday night. Owens, who had been working in oil fields a week, was en route to Lamesa to tend his cotton crop. The body will be sent to Lamesa today by N. J Griggs and Son funeral directors.
