Firemen prevented spread to adjoining Nobles Brothers wholesale grocery and Texas Oil. The cold storage plant was among West Texas' largest. Several hundred pounds of dressed poultry and eggs were destroyed. No cause determined. The Panhandle Produce company was owned by the Western Produce company of Abilene.
