J. V. Daniel Dies at 60 in Floydada Banker Rancher
J. V. Daniel of Floydada dies at 60 after a heart attack at Peoples Hospital. He moved to Floydada in 1915 from Hughes Springs, served in World War I, led First National Bank, retired in 1942, later managed Montgomery Ranch. Survived by wife Kate Butler, son Wendell Daniel of Austin, daughter Mrs. J S Hale Jr., Floydada, and three sisters. Funeral arrangements pending.
