Electric service had been off for hours due to a cut feed line outside the military zone, repaired by daybreak. A cook hired for the workers quit and a violent incident occurred when he was confronted by white men. the man fled into Oklahoma after an assault on one of the whites. Ray Yard freight terminal remained dark due to another electric break, with linemen unable to locate the fault after three hours of searching.

Gets shot and assault charge filed against A R Dean
