Panhandle crude oil prices rise across Texas districts
The Humble Pipe Line company posted a wide price revision raising Panhandle crude values by 6 to 30 cents, affecting Gray County Wheeler County and Carson and Hutchinson counties. Gray County oil hits 96 cents at 32 degrees with 1.56 at 44 degrees. Several counties see 18 to 22 cent gains, marking the first rise since February 21, 1928.

New High Record For Steers Set In Whittington Sale
Whittington Amarillo cattleman sold 1,900 three year old steers at eleven and a half cents a pound for October 1 delivery. Buyers Phil Hull and Elwood Marshall of Eureka Kansas purchase the cattle now pastured near Romero. Estimated weight around a thousand pounds at delivery, netting about 115 dollars per head, a world record for this age cattle for the season. Buyers plan to ship to Kansas feedlots. Burk Burnett estate sold 4,200 two year old steers at 87.50 per head to Kansas purchasers.
