Eight boys recaptured after escape from reform school
Eighteen year old Eddie Shaw was shot and killed by a Beckham county officer after eight first term youths escaped the Granite Oklahoma reform school. The group halted a motorist at gunpoint and drove toward Sayre before officers stopped them. Shaw died from wounds. two others were injured. Shaw had burglary conviction in Oklahoma County. The warden said the eight were cutting weeds when the escape occurred. Shaw’s burial is planned at the reform school cemetery. Trial of Hollywood physician Sullivan delayed in the Ray Raymond case.

Seminole Field Passes 500000 Barrel Figure
The Greater Seminole field in central Oklahoma exceeded 500000 barrels, reporting 501,895 barrels from 623 wells on Sunday and rising to 612,647 barrels from 626 wells by Monday morning.
