Four Die in Collision Involving Neal Family
Mrs. Maxine Sleyster learns at Plainview Hospital that her parents Mr. and Mrs. William B. Neal of Portland Texas and sister-in-law Mrs Calvin B. Neal of Corpus Christi died from injuries after a Monday car crash near Plainview. Baby Mary Catherine Neal five months died at the scene. The Neals were in a car with Mrs Sleyster and her daughter Donna Marie en route to Arvada to attend Sleyster’s husband’s funeral. Four people in a Reese Air Force Base vehicle from Lubbock were involved. Funeral arrangements await Mrs Sleyster’s decision at Lemons Funeral Home.

Henderson Funeral Set for John R. Henderson
Funeral services for John Richard Henderson aged 60 will be held at Dimmitt First Baptist Church at 8 p.m. Saturday with Rev. George Ray officiating. Interment will follow in Hart Cemetery under Lemons Funeral Home direction. Henderson died at 11 p.m. last night at his Hart County farm home.

Born August 31 1887 in Coleman County she moved from Comanche to Kress in 1915 then to Plainview in 1935. Survived by husband and six children including Marshall Botts of Amarillo.

The Texas Highway Commission let a contract for seven miles of paving on Farm Road 293 west of Panhandle. The road will run from the west end of the paving five miles west of Panhandle and extend seven miles further west, shortening travel to the Atomic Energy Commission plant. Bell Braden received the contract.
