Levelland Tot Dies in Fire Tragedy
In Levelland two year old Tony McGuire died from suffocation after a late night fire damaged the family home at 304 West Avenue. Sister Reba Annette, 4, found the blaze near 11:30 p.m. and alerted her mother at the Polka Dot Drive In. Fire Chief H V Johnson said the boy was probably asleep and the house burned for about nine minutes before firefighters controlled the flames. The family lived in Levelland about a year. Burial was in Levelland Cemetery after services at Church of Christ conducted by II V Davis. Survivors include the parents sister two grandparents and several other relatives.
