The Panhandle has shipped 32,701,000 bushels of its 1929 wheat crop and the total is estimated at 42,500,000 bushels, 20 million above the 1926 Panhandle record and 15 million over the state total. Railroads report ample cars and 70 percent moved, with 85 percent harvested and farmers preparing land for the next crop.

Midland Man Ends Life in Amarillo Jail
Lon Hawkins died in his cell at the Amarillo city jail from self inflicted wounds. He was held on grand larceny charges for theft of three loads of pipe from an oil well near Washburn. His son Jack Hawkins will claim the body for burial in Midland. A court of inquiry will hear testimony today as detectives report Hawkins used a razor blade to cut his arm. A coroner's inquest was deemed unnecessary by Justice of the Peace J W Minter. Five others remained jailed Sunday night.

Farmer's Wife Killed by Bull on Ontario Farm
Mrs Irvin Reid of Limerick township 24 was fatally injured when a bull recently bought by her husband charged her as she milked cows. She and her child climbed a tree for safety but were struck by a falling limb. Both survived briefly. a physician later reported 72 stitches for Mrs Reid before she died.

Tucumcari Road Accident Fatal to Oklahoma Boy
Al fred Robinson Warrick Okla was instantly killed and his brother Fred and William Bray Nara Visa were injured when their automobile overturned near a Rock Island railway crossing at the west edge of Tucumcari New Mexico on Sunday. The injured youths said the car turned over when the emergency brake was set at high speed after spending Saturday night in Tucumcari and returning to Romero Texas where they were employed. Bray suffered a broken shoulder and Fred Robinson received lacerations. The dead boy's father was expected to arrive to take the body to Warrick.
