Paratroopers Die as U S Battles North Vietnamese
In Saigon two American paratroopers were killed and 10 wounded in the only major action reported. The lull in the war reached its fifth week as field commanders forecast new attacks by North Vietnamese and Viet Cong forces. The U S communique cited casualties from Sunday in a clash between 101st Airborne Division troops and North Vietnamese regulars.

Sunny to partly cloudy conditions with a chance of thundershowers forecast for Amarillo as temperatures reach the mid 90s. In Vietnam ground fire downed a CH46 helicopter south of Da Nang, killing nine South Vietnamese soldiers and injuring an American crewman.
