E. P. Smith, 47, a roofer with Amarillo Roofing Company, fell from a second floor storeroom at Coe and Parks Lumber, dying instantly. He had slept at the yard ten nights. A Justice’s verdict ruled accidental death. Survivors include a widow in Enid and siblings in Oklahoma City, Nebraska, and Kansas. He was a Navy veteran and World War veteran. The boat to Oklahoma City for burial was sent on the Rock Island train.
