Collision near Point Judith sinks four aboard Boston liner
The passenger liner Boston of the Eastern Steamship Company collided with the oil tanker Swift Arrow early today two and a half miles southeast of Point Judith. Four passengers were reported lost, with hundreds possibly aboard the stricken ship. The Boston, lacking light and steam, drifted in foggy seas as naval vessels were dispatched and coast guard cutters moved to aid.
