Fourth Victim Of Blaze Dies
Leroy Phillips, 29, of 2205 Roberts, died at St. Anthony's Hospital at 1 15 Sunday afternoon from third degree burns suffered when the Phillips Forebuss Company warehouse at 1119 East Second burned. Three other workers died Friday and Saturday from burns as gasoline engulfed clothing. Jody Foster, 27, of 1807 East Seventh, died at Northwest Texas Hospital Friday night. Dick Sikes, 22, of 3301 Boulevard, died at St. Anthony's. Travis G. Hunter, 22, of 405 Austin, died at St. Anthony's early Saturday. Funeral services for Phillips were held Monday at 4 pm under Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Home. Survivors include widow Mrs Chance Phillips and parents Mr and Mrs Roy Phillips. Hunter's rites were Sunday at 3 pm. Foster's at San Jacinto Methodist Church Monday at 4 pm with burial at State Cemetery. Foster, WWII veteran and American Legion member, was honored. Sol Levine of Hanson Post 54 urged posts to assemble in uniform at the church.
