Locomotive Boiler Explodes Killing Two at Union Station

Federal agents filed a charge of violation of the national extortion act against Percy M. Fitzgerald known as The Dice-Box Kid. He was identified by the banker August Luer’s wife as a kidnapper from Alton Illinois. Fitzgerald was arrested in Madison Illinois after Mrs. Luer picked his photo from a group and noted the resemblance. The 77 year old banker was released near Collinsville and is staying with his son Herman Luer. The filing was by agents led by D M Ladd before U S Commissioner Arthur R Felsen in East St. Louis.
