A baby, missing for five days, was found in a clump of thickets near his home and remains in critical condition after near starvation. Police investigate kidnapping theory as the child was returned to his mother yesterday after fainting at the reunion.
In Hart sdale New York on July 17 missing five child Bobby Connor was found alive and smiling in thick underbrush half a mile from his home. Police believe the child may have been placed there during the long search. Dr. C W Munger reports the boy in fragile condition from exposure hunger and lack of water with bruises but no serious infection.
Washington reports the formation of a widely spread semi official organization to implement the Bankhead act cotton reduction plan. Community committees in about 1000 cotton belt counties will work with county groups to collect data for determining production levels for roughly 2,000,000 farmers under a fifty page regulation set.
Frank Barnes a 50 year old Missouri farmer and his two sons Archie and Billy were spirited from Mississippi County to prevent mob violence after their confession to kidnapping taxi driver C A Martin who was found fatally beaten near Blytheville. The trio were moved from jail to Mississippi County custody following word of planned mob action.
A motor caravan of Small for Governor workers will leave Welling-ton to reach voters in Texas towns including Childress Kirkland Goodlett Acme Quanah Crowell Paducah and others. Senator Small's Dallas rally will be broadcast network-wide over KRLD ETAT KTSA KTRH and more. James C. Mahan reports strong sentiment growing in Cottle County as undecided voters lean toward Small.

Dolores Miller, 24, awaits arraignment after allegedly killing her husband Lee Miller, 50, at their home on 507 North Johnson Street. Glendale, California. Two women, Mrs. Morris Long and Mrs. Don Leitch, were killed when a runaway car rolled down a steep hill. They tried to reach the vehicle to free the children inside, the oldest being five, as the car plunged and overturned off a 40 foot embankment. One child suffered a broken shoulder. the other two escaped with minor injuries. The three children were in the vehicle at the time.
Floods in Southern Poland continue to rise inundating Cracow district. About 50 people drowned near Warsaw after floods overwhelmed homes and two dozen houses collapsed with many more tottering on weakened foundations.
John Clifton Rodenberg, 17, was killed when an embankment caved in on him while he worked on a road seven miles east of Lockhart Texas. His neck was broken. His brother Clinton Rodenberg was lightly injured. The boy was the son of Mr and Mrs J A Rodenberg, farmers.

In Chicago on July 17, grain prospects for five eastern states were seen 50 percent below July 1 forecasts, prompting feverish trading. Mat C. The decree granted joint custody of their two daughters Eleanor and Faith, with a property settlement kept private. McAdoo did not appear. his denial of mental cruelty was filed through his lawyer.
