Special to The News Menard Texas July 17 With Senator S B Cowell back with the party the locating commission for the Texas Technological College arrived and viewed the oldest irrigation plant in Texas first installed by Spaniards in 1747 at the San Saba Mission ruins. The party saw abundant water as the San Saba River and springs feed the area Brady had a well flowing a thousand gallons a minute with a pump producing a 160 foot water spray. Brady claims Texas center and best access for the college while Menard hosted locals with barbecues and a fine entertainment as both towns welcomed the commission.

Four Prisoners Escape From Potter County Jail
