Two men, FE F Tate and Jake Hampt, drowned at Lake Keeler about noon while fishing with Mr Nichols two miles from Childress Texas. Nichols swam ahead. Tate likely went in to save Hampt and lost his life. Tate leaves a wife and child. Hampt worked on a Denver Road section crew. Special to The News.
