Business leaders spent a solid day in Santa Fe, meeting with dealers and town officials. The delegation’s efforts aimed to strengthen regional trade ties and expand market opportunities across southern towns.
A 67 person Amarillo special train touring Tulia Lubbock Plainview promoted the Panhandle All-State Fair. Speakers included Judge Browning and bankers. bands Rodolfo and Panhandle Male Quartet entertained crowds, boosting cross town cooperation and forthcoming fair support.
Nine women including Dr Mary Equi and numerous men were rounded up when police broke up a street meeting of the Industrial Workers of the World. Equi vowed to use a poisoned hatpin on officers and attempted to wield a two foot gas pipe as a weapon before it was seized.
