An auto driven by Mrs Elmer Brunsvold and a steel laden tractor trailer collided in Laurel Hill tunnel on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. The elderly Florida couple died at Frick Memorial Hospital Mount Pleasant. Thirty six injured rushed to Somerset Community Hospital.
The helium pipeline should be operational early in August per George Shelton of Amarillo. Construction on the main line is complete with minor details remaining. The 431 mile system from Rushton to Cliffside Storage Field will carry crude helium to storage or government plants for purification and delivery to customers.
