A fire starting in the shower and locker room spread to the roof and rear of the G. E. Jones Electric Company building at 212 North Polk. Damage is estimated at about 25000 with little damage to walls and fixtures. most losses were due to water and heat. Fire units from multiple stations fought the blaze and saved much of the shop contents. The owner praised the department while urging street crowd control to aid firemen.
