Lightning Kills Man Shocking Wheat Near Wildorado
Douglass O Roke about 40 was struck by lightning while working on a harvest five miles southeast of Wildorado at 4 PM yesterday. Two youths Cecil Faust and W T Hazelwood of Canyon were stunned. O Roke’s body was brought to Amarillo for funeral arrangements. He had lived here and worked at Potter County Hospital. his wife was notified and would arrive today. The bolt tore his clothing and killed him instantly during a light shower break in the work.

TERRE HAUTE Ind July 11 Five persons are killed and two seriously injured when a motor car stalled on a Big Four track is struck by a passenger train. Victims include Jack and Mary Ellis and daughter Lily 16 Margaret Dunlap 18 and Ernestine Dunlap 14 from Seelyville. Injured are Mrs Fred Sterchi and her daughter Dorothy 8 also of Seelyville.
