Moonlight Girl Scout Picnic At Kamp Atyakorker
A Moonlight picnic hosted by Girl Scout Troop No 1 honored parents Monday evening at Kamp Atyakorker. A Cooper Irvin Motor Company truck ferried the group in two cars. The evening featured swimming followed by supper as twilight fell and ice cream passed around. The Amarillo Music Company donated a photograph and dance records played. A kangaroo court fined two members for a misdemeanor and the gathering closed with scouts singing Taps. The many friends of Mrs. Louis Pittman learn she is well on the road to full recovery after a three week battle with blood poisoning from a hand cut. Once feared to lose an arm, she now steadily improves and will soon return to health, amid relief from her many supporters.
