Five die and four severely injured in a crash 17 miles south of Perryton Texas. A Winston Salem family traveling to California veered off the highway into a barrow ditch and struck a bridge abutment. Victims include James Nichols 29 Lela Elizabeth Brittain 18 Mil dred Glover 22 and Mrs. B Holt. Joe Allen Glover 2 died. Children Jimmy Holt 6 Carol Yvonne Holt 9 Mary Ann Holt 3 Daisy Arling Holt 8 injured with various fractures and concussions. Driver reportedly fell asleep at the wheel.
