Autry Sues for 2297 50 Over Motorcycle Collision
H A Autry filed a district court suit seeking 2297.50 damages from John Adams and Martin Jarett after a January 25 collision at Eleventh and Taylor. Adams drove a car owned by Jarett that struck a motorcycle ridden by William Warren Autry, the plaintiff's 16 year old son, who sustained a broken leg and incurred 1297.50 in bills. Student Pilot Dies In Water As Plane Plunges
A Syracuse student flier, O A Smith, drowned when his plane spun and plunged about 3,000 feet into shallow water near Oakland Airport Bay. Despite three safe tail spins, the fourth went out of control and observers watched the craft crash. Frank Bastia, a mechanic, dived to free Smith from the cockpit but could not revive him.
