Pioneer P. H. Seewald Dies at 72 in Amarillo
P. H. Seewald, 72, pioneer merchant and one of the Panhandle’s first settlers, died at home 409 Buchanan Street at 11:40 last night after years of illness. He opened West Texas first jewelry store in Tascosa in 1887 and moved to Amarillo in 1890, retiring in 1920. Survived by widow, three sons Edgar Frederic Louis and five daughters Gladys Margaret and three others. Funeral plans pending.
