Paris court of appeals ruled France’s Lost Dauphin died at age 10 in Temple Prison during the French Revolution closing a 104 year lawsuit. The decision confirms Louis Charles did not become Louis XVII nor did Karl Wilhelm Naundorff impersonate him.

Mrs Beck Atkinson Dies of Stroke in Amarillo

Mrs Beck Atkinson 40 died after a stroke at St Anthony’s Hospital following faintness at the breakfast table. She was wife of cattleman Beck Atkinson and mother of Hollis Beck Atkinson Jr and two daughters. Born July 1 1914 in Plemons she lived in Amarillo since age nine and was active in PTA and Boys Ranch. She was a member of First Christian Church and survived by her husband, father Sid Hedgecoke, two daughters and a son, with two grandchildren. Continued on Page 2.

US orders Czechs to free 7 soldiers after border incident

The United States demanded the immediate return of seven missing Americans, a captain and six enlisted men, who disappeared near Baernau on a sight seeing trip by the Czech border. The U S note rejected Czech claims of espionage and pressed for their release while noting films found on the men.

Bids On Pioneer Natural Gas Stock Led By Major Banks

Sinclair Oil reports the top bid for a 769 721 share block of Pioneer Natural Gas common stock at 22.10 a share.
