Judge Henry Bishop Rites Held After 82 Year Life

Funeral services for Judge Henry 8 Bishop will be held at 4 p.m. today at the First Presbyterian Church. The 82 year old jurist, who retired Jan 1 after 28 years on the 47th District Court, died at 3 45 a.m. Tuesday at Northwest Texas Hospital. He had been in critical condition since Saturday. Dr Lynn Rankin will officiate. The body lies in state at N S Griggs and Sons Funeral Home until one hour before services. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Pallbearers listed.

Death claims Mrs. J. A. Hill in Canyon

Mrs. Ola Ethel Davis Hill 77, wife of West Texas State College president emeritus J. A. Hill, died at home in Canyon at 10 p.m. after months of illness. Born March 1, 1878, in Salado she married in 1903 and moved to Canyon in 1910. She led civic and cultural work, taught Sunday School, and chaired the Seventh District Texas Federation of Women's Clubs.

A 24 hour deadline for improved treatment by custodial staff was set in a conference with Dr. Thomas Harris. Wheat Support Prices Set at 2.08 a Bushel

The Agriculture Department announced 1955 wheat support prices averaging 2.08 per bushel nationwide, two cents above planting time minimum. Rates reflect 82 4 percent parity under a new flexible system, with regional class prices listed for soft red winter and hard red winter grades in Chicago, Kansas City, and Galveston, compared with last year's figures.
