New Orleans Strike Fight Claims One Life

A riot between streetcar company strikers and strike breakers in New Orleans near the Canal Street barn left one man dead and another gravely wounded. About 1,000 participants, including 400 strike breakers escorted by 50 police, clashed as 600 striking carmen attacked with sticks bricks and heavy objects. Farmer dies saving dog on local farm

MarshalLa July 4. William Atterberry Jr 30 son of W H Atterberry stopped his mower to free a dog from the sickle. The horse snorted and the wagon hit his leg above the ankle causing a severe injury that required amputation and led to his death.

Lindy and Anne-Every Inch Prince and Princess of the Air

Nearly 3,000 spectators at Amarillo Municipal Airport watched Lindy and Anne as they arrive in a Curtiss Falcon plane.
