A lavish Amarillo Country Club event hosted by Mrs Edward J Bush and Mrs James A Bush drew about 350 guests. Attendees enjoyed a pastel garden setting, corsages for each guest, orange sherbet and lavender cakes, plus Tolzien's orchestra providing music.

Recitals by pianist Recital Don Rosamund Caldwell and her young pupil show at First Christian church with Velma Read and Madaline Gallo assisting. Mrs Gladys Marsalis Glenn presented the program and guests included Winnie Mae Ward and several local residents. Bright kitchen shower for Winnie Mae Ward, with pink and orchid decorations and honey moon cakes. Camp Temple at Christoval hosts Episcopal youths with Bishop Seaman in charge. Presbyterian Endeavorers meet with lesson on humility. Fourth of July social features include Elks breakfast dance and Country club afternoon dance. Blue Bonnet Needle Club entertained by Mrs H G Peck with daisies and sweet peas. United Daughters of the Confederacy meet with pink poppies and honeysuckle decor.
