AWOL airman admits to Dickinson family killings
Ellis Laudon, 26, an AWOL airman from Altus Oklahoma, admits to shooting three members of the Dickinson Texas family in their beds on June 22 and robbing an El Paso filling station attendant. He was flown to Texas after extradition and faces three counts of first degree murder plus charges from El Paso. He said he targeted the Dickinson home fearing exposure to the Air Force.

A lightning bolt struck a tall tree at a central Ohio picnic grounds 14 miles north of Columbus, killing four members of the Rossetti family and injuring two others. Edith A.
