The Amarillo celebration plans a great patriotic event at City Park. Attendees are urged to bring drinking cups as paper cups will be limited and coffee cannot be served in cups everywhere. Ice water will be available in vessels.
Airplanes will patrol the border with Fort Bliss designated as the principal station and other points used as bases. The move expands aerial coverage along the Mexican border.
Air corps officials announce widespread border patrol setup from Fort Bliss to camps in Columbus New Mexico and Marfa Texas. Three stations east and west of El Paso will cover from San Diego to Brownsville with DH-4 planes and Liberty engines.
