C B Berry of Paducah released on 3000 dollar bond after shooting John Beal Sneed in Paducah Texas. Sneed wounded with shotgun blasts but not believed fatal. Sneed later treated at Quanah. Berry fled and was found in a brick building near the bank before the shooting. Sneed previously involved in killings of Barton and Boyces. Berry had killed Barton. Residents expect further trouble in Paducah amid tense relations and ongoing legal actions in multiple counties.

In Lubbock on July 2 nine jurors were chosen for the Milt Good trial over the W D Allison killing at Seminole. Of 41 jurors examined, seven were selected. jurors aged 22 to 70 varied greatly, many being farmers, with strict courtroom sequestration and no newspaper reading ordered until deliberations begin.

Youthful Laborer Crushed to Death At Wichita Falls

Toussaint Sentenced To Life For Fathers Slaying
Henry J. Toussaint was sentenced to life imprisonment by Judge W H Chapman after his June 28 murder conviction for killing his father O H Toussaint in Wichita Falls on February 6 1921. He had filed for a new trial which was overruled and accepted the jury imposed sentence. A prior hang jury conviction had been overturned and a new trial granted. A change of venue to Jones County was approved earlier in the year and Mrs Toussaint filed for divorce in Wichita Falls Monday.
