Arson charge filed after garage fire near Dallas Road
Eulice Wyatt, 44, a mechanic at Kirby Turpin auto shop, was charged in district court with arson after a Wednesday fire destroyed the Dallas Highway garage near Grand Avenue. Hereford July 1 Speciel W M Twiner 57 year old truck driver for Troy Moore and M O Sowell of Hereford was killed Thursday evening when his truck overturned on a county road northwest of Hereford about six miles west of Highway 51. The accident occurred about 4 50 o clock Leo Nichols witness said Twiner appeared to be asleep and turned over after he failed to stop Nichols and two men Refus Overstreet and Ted Roarbach moved Twiner to Hereford where he died of numerous lacerations. The body is at Black Funeral home Hereford Twiner born Sept 19 1891 near Waco came to Hereford from Rochester 11 years ago Survivors include widow two sons Jess and W Jr Mrs A Lou three sisters and four grandchildren.
