Monroe Turner Receives Five Year Prison Term
Monroe Turner, a Hale County farm youth, was convicted by a district court jury of forging a 125 check on his grandfather and sentenced to five years in the penitentiary. He married Dorothy Frisbie in Amarillo jail March 27 amid her murder conviction and ten year sentence in the death of a child. Turner said he offered to marry her so the unborn child would have a name.
