Three Hurt As Train Collide At Plainview Crossing
A Santa Fe freightEngine hit a car at the 46th avenue crossing east of Polk street injuring three occupants. Mrs W J Mayo 32 her daughter Wanda Joyce Mayo 5 and granddaughter were hospitalized at Northwest Texas Hospital. Mrs Carter in very critical condition suffered a broken leg and other injuries. The car occupants lived at 1504 W 12th Plainview. Police said the eastbound car was struck by the engine. Ambulances were dispatched to the scene.

SF and HP Railroad Expands HO Gauge Layout Plans
The Santa Fe and Hi Plains Model Railroad in the north Santa Fe Depot enters its second year under club president Bob Dunbar. In year one bench work covered half the layout with about 200 feet of track spiked for 3.5 miles. by 1957 the goal is to finish benchwork and lay the north loop track by March 31 1957. Scenery on the south end is half completed as the HO gauge model progresses.
