Directors of United States Steel Corporation announced a 50 cent per share dividend on preferred stock. The payout matches last two quarters after a prior reduction from 1.75. The firm reported 1933 final quarter earnings of 5,537,084 after ordinary operating costs versus earlier quarters with a 3,828,272 December deficit in 1992.
Gov. Ferguson has convened the Texas Relief Commission in Austin for tomorrow.
