Baker rose from page to Senate aide in Pickens DC and faced moonlighting allegations.
In Saigon a trio of U S Army helicopters attacked 200 sampans on the Bassac River during curfew hours. The strike killed 31 Vietnamese and wounded 38. An investigation checks a report civilians fleeing the Viet Cong may have been aboard.
Explosions hit Yugoslav diplomatic sites in Washington New York Chicago San Francisco Ottawa and Toronto early Sunday. A fireman died of a heart attack outside the New York consulate. Officials condemn the coordinated attacks and vow a nationwide hunt for suspects.
