Amarillo Plans New Morning Trains to Boost Trade Area
Amarillo officials and local businesses announce a major schedule shift for branch line trains. The Floydada band train runs Plainview to Floydada at 6 30 a m, while the Lamesa band train travels Slaton to Lamesa at 7 45 a m and Seagraves band train from Lubbock to Seagraves at 8 15 a m. Crosbytown band train departs Lubbock at 8 30 a m to Bledsoe arriving 11 15 a m. These trains will no longer run terminal to mainline and back in the afternoon, a change seen as boosting Amarillo’s trade outreach.

Young Worker Falls 12 Floors on New Santa Fe Building
Jacob Tolk a 24 year old carpenter died after plunging from the twelfth floor of the Santa Fe office building at Ninth Avenue and Polk Street. He toppled head first after leaning from the wall to guide a steel beam, struck a scaffold on the third floor, and died on the operating table at a local hospital. Truck Driver Captures Bank Robbers Near Mt Morris
Flint, Jan 28 The quick action of truck driver F. Kritlow led to the capture of two bandits who robbed the State Bank at Mt. Morris of 19000 dollars. Kritlow pursued the robbers in his truck after they fled in a coupe, forcing the car into a ditch. One robber was injured, the other escaped but was later trapped under a lumber pile. All the money was recovered.
