High School Boy Saves Amarillo Woman From Gasoline Blast
Joe Lee Latta an 18 year old high school student living at 314 East Twenty First avenue saved Mrs. J. L. Brazell by smothering flames and extinguishing a fire after a gasoline explosion in her duplex. Mrs Brazell suffered severe burns but was not in danger. Latta was burned on his arm and he wrapped Brazell in blankets and put out the fire in the house. The blast wrecked rafters and windows. Brazell is in care of her parents at 1007 West Tenth avenue. Latta is son of Mr and Mrs R O Latta.
