Woman Burned as Oil Train Explodes in Cameron Yard
Rosita Buenneuva suffered serious burns when a flaming crude oil train from Reagan entered Cameron yards before daybreak. Several oil cars exploded spraying flames on sleeping residents in the negro quarter. A wharf section, freight depot, and a cotton seed store owned by Viret National Bank were destroyed. West Palm Beach January 27 Former Lieutenant Osborne C Wood son of Major Gen Leonard Wood governor general of the Philippine Islands is sought by Palm Beach county officers on charges of passing worthless checks. The Palm Beach National Detective agency filed the charges with the sheriff and said Wood may have headed to Havana with authorities seeking to bar him from Cuba. Sheriff Bob Baker said warrants will be sworn out today. Wood came here last March broke and working as a salesman for a Tampa real estate concern then briefly went to New York and Wilmington Delaware where his wife obtained a divorce before returning for further real estate work and social life.
