Snowy Panhandle weather brings power outages in Amarillo area

Texas Panhandle residents woke to 2.6 inches of snow in Amarillo and gusty winds causing scattered power shortages. City Machine & Welding Inc in Amarillo lost power, employees discharged early, while nearby businesses reported outages. SPS cited wind as the primary cause with no downed lines reported.
