Charles Newcomer Witmer 29 a salesman was critically injured when he plunged from a window of a speeding Missouri-Kansas-Texas train near Caddo Mills. He was taken to a Dallas hospital with a severe head injury and remained unconscious as the train halted causing a coupling to break.

Mexican given death for murder of Ramirez near Raymondville
A jury in Raymondville convicted Pio Quesada and sentenced him to death in the electric chair for fatally shooting and stabbing Fernando Ramirez, a hunters' guide, during a hunt near the King Ranch. Three Die as Lamesa Clay Pit Cave-In Occurs
In Lamesa a noon cave-in at a clay pit six miles south of town killed three men and injured two others. The dead are Tom Hailey 52 N G Scott 56 and Walter Breeding 41 all of Lamesa. Emmett Busby and Victor Crawley both from Lamesa were injured with Busby seriously. The workers were employed by the state highway department and sought shelter from icy wind when the collapse happened.

All But One Of Canadian Quads Die

Nine Hindenburg Flights Slated for 1937 Shuttle Service
Nine inter continental flights for the airship Hindenburg are scheduled this year between Frankfort or Friedrichshafen, Germany, and Lakehurst, New Jersey.
