Young rancher dies after horse throws him at Claude ranch
Burley W. Kerrick, 27, a prominent Armstrong County rancher, died Monday night from injuries after his horse threw him against a corral post while he worked stock. Mrs Kerrick had taken their son to Claude. the accident occurred at the ranch 12 miles southwest of Claude. His glasses were found near the post and the horse rode loose with reins dragging. He was found unconscious in bed by his wife around 5:30 p.m. and never regained consciousness.
