American cargo ship collides with French tanker off Le Havre

The 6103 ton Lucile Bloomfield and the 2062 ton Port Manech collided Monday near Le Havre. All crew aboard the Bloomfield were saved. two French crewmembers wives died of burns, five French crew members were missing, and 20 were injured. Safer ambulances and six tugboats aided the scene as flames lit the English Channel in foggy conditions.
