Special to The Newa Miami, Jan. 18. Mrs Ellen O Loughlin mother of Milo O Loughlin prominent stock man of Roberts county died at the home of her son at 4 36 Sunday afternoon after a short illness. Mrs O Loughlin was one of the old timers of the Panhandle having come with her husband from Pierceville Kansas in 1875. They loaded two wagons and began the journey to establish Fort Elliott near Mobeetie. U S soldiers aided them across the Canadian River. The O Loughlins lived at Fort Elliott for years then moved to Miami. Mr O Loughlin died years ago. Funeral arrangements not completed.
