Wife of Captain of Ill fated Ship Is Safe
Mrs Anna Blom wife of Captain Christian Blom of the Danish freighter Normania and 19 crew members were rescued from their sinking vessel in a gale off the Virginia capes. They arrived today on the liner Henry B Mallory. Captain Blom and seven crewmen who stayed with the ship after the Mallory left were later picked up by the tanker Charles 8 Harwood and will reach New York tomorrow morning.

J. Stallings, a former Amarillo resident and Amarillo High School graduate, was captured by a 20 man bandit gang near Vita Grande and held for a 15000 peso ransom paid by American Smelting and Refining. He was released in the hills near Parral and is now ill from exposure and mistreatment. His wife, visiting Amarillo, learned of the incident from a letter.

Tack in Baby's Lung Endangers Race With Death
In a race against death eight month old Cletus Moore was rushed by train to Philadelphia for an expert to remove a carpet tack from his left lung. An X ray disclosed the object, surgeons deeming local help unsafe.
