Anna May Wong the Chinese actress will sail Monday for Hong Kong to visit her ancestral land. The Hollywood star had just returned from Europe where she spent two years on stage and in motion pictures. Wong was born in Los Angeles.

Howard Stark author of a book on blind flying was missing after departing Rock Springs, Wyoming at 1:05 PM bound for Salt Lake City. Local airports reported no contact as heavy snowstorm swept the Salt Lake City area yesterday.

Fort Worth, Jan 17. A temporary injunction bars the Chicago Rock Island Gulf Railway from moving its general offices from Fort Worth to Chicago. The action, brought by the state of Texas and Fort Worth, awaits merits trial. The railroad, incorporated in 1902, must obtain Texas Railroad Commission consent to relocate.
The National Agricultural Conference approved the administration's farm program plans unanimously. Six major farm organizations including the National Grange joined in support, and the National Farmers Union was admitted to the conference. The passenger steamer Cherokee outbound from Charleston and New York rammed the British steamer Welcombe in fog about six miles inland from the St Johns River mouth. Coast guard reported no injuries. Cherokee ran aground and anchored while Welcombe foundered with only superstructure above water.
