Judge Newton P. Willis 63, longtime Panhandle resident and former district judge, died at a Pampa hospital after a paralytic stroke. He served in Canadian, Mobeetie, and the Eighty-fourth District, retiring in 1929 and later practicing in Pampa. He was active in the Gray County Bar, and survived by his widow, daughter Lonna, son Everett in New York City, and a grandson. Funeral at First Presbyterian Church with burial in Canadian Cemetery.
